seeks qualified candidates for the position of TELECOM LINEMAN.
Applicants should be capable of completing inside and outside plant installations.
Duties included installing, maintaining, and servicing phone lines, cable, subscriber carrier systems, terminals, protection devices, customer, and premise equipment, drop wires, station protectors, network interface devices, multiline key systems, PBXs, and other equipment.
Also perform initial wiring/rewiring of new subscriber systems, diagnose/repair troubles in switching equipment, voice frequency repeaters, loop extenders, cable loading systems and have experience with all facets of the local exchange distribution network.
May diagnose and repair troubles in aerial or buried cable and drops.
May also construct aerial and buried plant including fiber optic, copper cable and drops.
Experience with splicing, micro duct and cable is a plus.
Familiarity with RUS practices & standards, CDL & construction experience preferred.
